Thanks David, Frank and Manolo installing it today. Elevating the diesel tank and installing a roof are next :)
2 New Gliders arrived at our club! YEAH!
The 1981 ASW-19b is succeeding our Grob 102. The glider is nicely equipped with a Transponder, Oudie (Flight Computer) and even an oxygen system. The dust covers and Komet Trailer will protect it when stored or traveling. Thanks Gordon & Simon purchasing and picking it up in Norfolk Virginia in a just 79 hours roundtrip adventure. The ASW-19b is a great addition to our club fleet many GHSA members will be able to enjoy.
Pablo’s and Manolo’s LAK 17a came with 15m and 18m wingtips, is in excellent shape and bringing the on-site LAK glider fleet up to Three.
The air wasn't very clear this weekend but we had some clear WINNERS at GHSA! CONGRATULATIONS Jasper, Jordan, Ferenc and Landon to your Private & Commercial Glider Pilot Certificates!
All shown with Tony Condon (DPE) after passing their check rides. Thanks also to the strong ground support this weekend making it all possible.
Love is in the air and all around our club house :)
Love bugs everywhere!
On Stormy Days we are flying Cross-Country in CONDOR and studying our books :)
The 3D-Goggles are awesome and let you pick any glider you like to fly on landscapes far away from GHSA. Try ridge flying for example….Cannon, Abby, Matt, Isaac, Landon, Cade, Nicolas and Manolo all enjoyed it a lot. Everyone agreed that the VR is really a game changer.
Abigail soloed today!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
You did it Abi. You proofed that staying focused pays off. Great job and keep up the pace on the journey to get your glider license.
Just for the beauty....
Credits to David C. who took this great picture when flying a task with Uwe in OE on the way to SCOH. Not possible without Manolo towing and Frank’s ground support. THANK YOU!
Week Day Flying!!!
Pablo, Varun, Michael, David C. and Uwe were able to fly thanks to Manolo and Frank towing and ground crewing. Thanks you both a lot. David C. had to land in Columbus after the thermals died late in the day. Manolo picked him up with the tow plane.
Men At Work!
The car port had to go to make room for the drainage channel. Thanks Ken, Biz, and David C. tearing it down.
Cade Cunningham soloed today. CONGRATULATIONS!
Cade (3rd from right) shown with the entire team did 3 flights with very nice soft and precise landings. His first flight was 40 minutes long earning him the SSA A and B Badges. Awesome Cade.
