Ground school training
Natalie organized and helped conduct a 3 hour ground school training on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Natalie, Uwe, Michael, and Todd helped with the instruction.

David B. landed out in a cut cornfield today south of Tavener. Plane and pilot are ok.
Varun flew the Grob 102 for the first time today (2.5 hrs) after a check-out by CFI-G Mike B.
Last week, Varun passed his PPL-glider check-ride in Arizona on June 27th! Please congratulate Varun next time you see him.
On Saturday, Uwe achieved his Gold Distance with a great 300km+ flight to Caldwell, then Smithville, and back. On Sunday, with Uwe, Todd and David G also obtained their Gold Distance with a 350km flight from GHSA to Luling, then Giddings, then back to GHSA.
Natalie organized and hosted a youth night at GHSA on Saturday. We played glider Jeopardy and watched the original “Top Gun” movie. The Jeopardy game was lots of fun!

Thanks to David Coggins for towing (and changing the oil in 42J prior to doing so). Also thanks to Dean for helping move the ship and Beth for recording the flights. I heard his dad Abhi ask him how the controls felt and he said ‘Smooth!’.”
