Uwe, Michael H, Jay, and Todd provided ground school training at the field on May 22, followed by instruction on how to use our Mach 0.1/Condor 2 simulator. Ground school training topics included aerodynamics, soaring weather, sectionals, and situational awareness.

Annual Banquet

Todd Hahn passes his commercial check-ride

Three members pass their check-rides this weekend
The Greater Houston Soaring Association is proud to announce we had three pilots pass their check-rides this weekend. Brad Hansen, Bill Cooke, and David Buttram will now have their Private Pilot - Glider certificate. Thanks to Gregg Squires, the Designated Pilot Examiner who flew in from San Antonio. Also a big thanks to our GHSA instructors, especially Mike Brooks, Michael Hunter and Lou Landucci who helped get these guys ready. We also need to mention and thank those volunteers who made this weekend's flight operations possible.
